But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Given that this fridge costs a premium, I expect better.

Other than that, this fridge is a great option. It has a large freezer compartment, which is unusual for counter-depth French door fridges. It also has a large capacity for frozen food compared to other models.

The fridge has 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment offers 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is about what you would expect from a French door refrigerator that costs this much. It also has an adequate-sized icemaker packed into the left door, but it isn't the largest I've seen.

You can adjust the shelves in both compartments to create custom storage setup for what you want to store. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. The LED lighting is a nice addition and the inside storage bins come with the third shelf, which folds down so that you can store tall items. The drawers come with temperature controls that allow you to set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. The drawers are easy to shut and open however I found the plastic's textured coatings to be a bit rough on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator in this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is available for iOS and Android devices and allows you to manage your refrigerator from anywhere in the globe. It also comes with numerous options for customizing. It also sends you notifications when a door is left open, when the fridge or freezer needs to be defrosted and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if GE PYE22PYNFS came with Precise Fill it's an option in other GE fridges that allow you to preset how many cups of water you'd like to dispense simultaneously. It also has a countdown on the display of the fridge to show how much water you have left, but it's not as effective as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also boasts a veggie compartment that keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer and has dual compressors to ensure maximum food preservation. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient and makes pyramid shaped ice using minimal water. This refrigerator is ideal for a small household or a kitchenette with an attractive design and top of the best food preservation.

This refrigerator was rated as the top in our Refrigerators Test due to a variety of reasons. The freezer temperature remained steady at just above 0°F and never fluctuated more than a fraction - this is crucial to avoid freezer burn. The refrigerator section of the fridge also did well. It reached the temperature it was set within an hour, and maintained the temperature throughout our tests.

Bosch is a household name for its top-quality appliances. The top shelf on the right side can be folded in order to create more space for tall items. There's also a full-width storage drawer for food items and an internal water dispenser.

One of the best features of this refrigerator is that the ice maker is inside the freezer, which makes it easy to move ice into the fridge for use when required. The freezer also has clever design features, like sliding drawers that allow you to organize your items. It comes with a large bin for storing frozen food, and a separate one for ice.

Its capacity is higher than average for a counter-depth model and it cools evenly and has a good layout. It's also a little less than the best counter depth refrigerators that have an icemaker, which makes it a desirable option.
