It's designed to work with a reusable machine-washable cleaning pad (two for $20) or a single-use Bona Cleaning Solutions. The robot will only mop if the pad is attached and the tank is full when you send it out to clean but not either of those it will instead vacuum.

It wasn't able to pick up all of it but it did a very nice job of removing the majority of the large, sticky messes. It also did a very good job of removing water spills, though it was unable to remove some more stubborn ones.

Its performance when it comes to navigating between rooms is less impressive. It does a decent job of navigating the room, but it does not map your home the like other robots do. Its navigation is a bit clumsy; we found it to frequently bump into objects including our feet and cats.

The iRobot Braava Jet 240 is an excellent choice for a busy family who wants to keep their home looking great without spending hours on it. It's not as versatile as our top picks, but it does a good job of keeping the kitchen and bathrooms looking their best.

The iRobot Braava Jet m6 is a mopping robot with some additional capabilities that make it one of the most advanced robotic floor cleaners available. It can vacuum, sweep and mop floors on hard surfaces, such as laminate, wood, tile and carpets. Its long battery life enables it to cover as much as 1,000 square feet in a single cleaning session, making it suitable for larger homes. It's also capable of navigating around furniture and other obstacles, because of its iAdapt Navigation system.

In contrast to Roomba robots however, the Braava Jet m6 does not have a separate water tank, which makes it slightly more susceptible to spills and other messes. However, you can make use of several iRobot-approved cleaning solutions to keep the mopping system clean.
